Ritchie Valens, born Richard Steven Valenzuela on May 13, 1941
He was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter.
His parents were Joseph Steven Valenzuela and Concepción “Concha” Reyes.
Ritchie had two half-brothers: Robert “Bob” Morales and Mario Ramirez, and two younger sisters: Connie and Irma.
Ritchie Valens, along with fellow musicians Buddy Holly and J. P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson, lost their lives in a plane crash in Iowa.
He died in a plane crash at the tender age of 17 on February 3, 1959

Bob Morales, the older brother of rock legend Ritchie Valens, was born on March 9, 1937, in San Fernando Valley, United States
Bob Morales was married twice during his lifetime.
His first marriage was to Rosie Caballero, whom he fell in love with at a young age.
They had seven children together: Brenda (daughter), Robert, Nora, Richard, Jerry, Barbara, and others
Bob Morales was affected by the tragic plane crash that claimed his younger brother Ritchie Valens’ life on February 3, 1959.
This same crash also took the lives of rock stars Buddy Holly and J. P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson.
Bob was Portrayed by actor Esai Morales (no relation) in the 1987 film “La Bamba,”
He passed away on September 15, 2018, at the age of 81.
He battled prostate cancer and spent his final days at his Central Coast home

He was born on April 8, 1990, in Los Angeles
Mario is the youngest brother of Ritchie Ravens
He was eighteen months old when Ritchie passed away.
Although Mario didn’t have personal memories of his brother, he knows Ritchie through his music
Inspired by his brother’s fire and drive, Mario developed a passion for music.
He is a songwriter and a renowned guitarist
