Matayo Uiagalelei, the younger brother of DJ Uiagalelei, has been making waves in the world of sports.

Born in 2005, Matayo is an American football player who excels as a defensive end and tight end for the Oregon Ducks football team.

His impressive physical attributes include a towering height of 6 feet 5 inches and a weight of 265 pounds. Notably, he was ranked No. 19 in the 2023 class by Sports Illustrated

The Uiagalelei family seems to have athleticism running through their veins.

DJ Uiagalelei, the older brother, is a quarterback for Florida State, and his arm strength was evident when he topped out at 95 mph during his time at St. John Bosco. Matayo, too, is no stranger to competition.

He is considered one of the top 10 edge rushers in his class, and his dream school was none other than Oregon

In an interview with Sports Stars of Tomorrow, Matayo shared how their internal competition has fueled their growth as athletes.

Their father, Dave Uiagalelei, affectionately known as “Big Dave,” expressed confidence in both brothers, predicting multiple Division I offers for them since their eighth-grade days.

Matayo’s journey continues to unfold, and he aims to learn from his peers on the Oregon Ducks roster while making a mark in college football
