Kevin was born to a Puerto Rican mother and an African American father.
His family moved from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Tragically, his father passed away due to complications from AIDS when Kevin was just 14 years old.
In 2007, Kevin signed with local label Dead Game Records.
